Some cars can be programmed to use them as running lights, been a few asking around the E46 groups to get it done which usually results in a poorly maintained car looking even more poorly maintained as its tricking the ECU into thinking the dipped beam or side light is out.

People have been on at me to do that, it makes it look cleaner apparently despite the nose acctually being designed to wear one rather than it being an after thought (it looks blank without, some older models even have a recess so in non front territories a blanking plate is added that looks rather odd), the low things never made sense as it'll make you slower operating the car.

When I had started driving the Saxo and 106 was still prevalent, I myself had a Civic as I wanted space to carry stuff.
As time went on they started to get the Vag products more, Festers and Corsas were a constant but didn't quite get so max powered and naturally every Focus got made to look like a ST or RS despite only packing 100bhp, my Civic was modified (no fart Canon though) and I'd kept it years until I was forced to scrap it, the it was the No guts Focus with the rarer 1.4 and then the former family barge of the C-Max that I do acctually miss and would buy back if I could.
The E46 M3 wasn't a definative choice, I'd been looking at anything and everything as both my insurance restrictions and the market values of the fun stuff was in the right place, I'm too big to comftably daily an Elise, a F355 would require me to go miles to find an appropiate garage and could be ages to get repairs done (ha on that one as the M3 turned out as bad), a Classic would have caused friction with the old man and anything American wouldn't work as the company car park and most others I used operated on tokens or a card reader.
BMW has a fairly big level of support here and the E46's Chassis better suited the roads I liked to drive on so thats what I went for, naturally it gets unwanted attention from the fruitloops who feel it should either be mollycoddled as a collectors piece or ragged to within an inch of its life around a Tesco Car park, main issues with 46s bar the M3 is their value bottemed out so what was once an expensive powerful RWD car is now accesible to those who normally couldn't be trusted to operate a shopping trolley which is where their bad reputation stems from, the same happened with its predecessors butin timeit will likely improve again.
As for the X cars they are slowly getting mucked with, the whole SUV/Crossover trend mixed with their values dropping as they age mean they too will suffer the fates of the 3 and 5 series, Ive lost count of X1s now tarted up with Hong Kong special M sport gear despite them being as far from an M car as you'll get (JCW perhaps could be a better choice).

I don't think I've seen my Car in the metal for about a year, I can't open the Garage very well on my own and now the Old Man has apparently filled it with junk too which is going to make it so fun when it comes to the point its put back on the road.

As to Boy racers with BMWs its rare they are acctually that young, well if the cars legally insured anyway as they've pretty much got so high risk it's difficult to get a policy sub 25 on even stuff like a 318 and even as old as I am now my last policy was past the grand with a caveat of if I add another Mod I can forget the policy.

I'd like to get to the stuff that was stored in the attic, good chuck of my model collection is there as is most of acctually what used to be on my desk much to my annoyance as I could do with it right now, main issue is theres no floor and I can't bend round the beams.

It's because supposedly its the best way to keep it sterile, I normally take them down to their paper covers when I restock my kits, still sealed but will rip open easy if needed quickly.
Most of the time with the initial bleed I'll strap it with a bit of paper towel and tape until it's atleast started to clot and clean it again.

Apparently I now have Disney + for 6 months on my phone contract so I've got to figure out getting that on the TV's which isn't as easy as you'd think between the drugs and what is looking like an abcess beneath my wisdom tooth.

Just seen an article about Horses being made sick by the Covidiots, people have been feeding them all sorts of crap while strolling through the countryside and its got to the point some are dying.

Don't get me started on PSA cars, most are pretty much scrap before they've even made the end of the production line, I used to drive Bippers and they'd annoy me to the point I'd get tempted to dump it where it sat and use my own car.
Worst rental I had was a 2015 Micra, they'd put a door handle where my right knee needed to be so I had to work the accelerator at an awkward angle and it acctually made my hip pop out so every trip out was like a torture session.

I'm the oppisite here, I'm literally a couple 100yrds from a mast, only thing thats crap is the Wifi signal from Virgins supposed super duper hub, still I'm technically not paying for it so I can't complain too much.
I rarely watch TV and now the Phone lot have given me Disney + for 6 months so I suppose I'd better look at that at some point to get my moneys worth, it'll probably be like the other streaming services and will have every movie but the exact one I'm looking for.

I still remember to this day getting stuck moving at a crawl on an improperly cleared and very congested road that the council had known well in advance about needing to do and then having my boss at the time moan I didn't call ahead that I was stuck despite it being illegal at that point and Hands free not being a wide spread thing, people dont adapt and then people don't take into account you can get stuck by those that have failed to adapt.
Only times I've had proper issue were when council hadn't cleared the road and when I last made the mistake of asking the M3 to drive in it on performance tyres which resulted in a similar effect to a terrier on a freshly waxed wood floor, loads of scrabbling but only slow propulsion forward, it stays home when it snows now.
I've never had any qualms working in all weathers (although cold damp sets my knees and hands off), red hot sun probably annoys me the most as I already sweat buckets and it produces a whole new level of slimyness that I usually have to sit in all day as Air Cons a Luxury and stuff needs doing.

I still remember a Bloke getting irrate with me for calling him Sir back in one of my retail jobs, appraently I either needed claivoyency or to address people with 'Oi Mate'.

Phones I don't care for but are a neccesity, I've got an issue with my vocal chords so I hate calls so it's pretty much just there for the hospital to call and tell me they've cancelled my appointment again, I did have a secondary 'Burner' phone for work purposes (nothing nefarious) with a Pay as you go in it so maybe it's worth just having one to ease the headache with modernised systems, I still strictly refuse to have any banking or money apps on my phone as it can easiley be lost or stolen and getting into phones isn't as hard as you think.

With the whole dessert thing bear in mind these are usually barely trained part time workers so they probably don't know off the bat about the rule, I'd only 100% expect it in a high end place where they are silver service as such, me personally I don't often care as I don't generally go for dessert and I'm usually too hot anyway so prefer something cold to drink.

I don't get the need to browse and it pees me off big time when they say something is online only, I just want to go get it what I need when I need it and not fanny about, especially these days when its so rare I can leave the house my neighbours think I'm dead.
Colours depend on tastes in a way, cars I can get behind all the different shades of paint but my clothes are pretty much 50 shades of Black with the exceptions of my Hawaiian shirts.

My Dog would probably eat a Gerbil if shown one as to racing against Slot car depends on the track, lanky git won't do well in a small space but given room he'll potentially hit 45 mph and cruise at 30mph, usually in the oppisite direction though as he doesn't seem to like electric motors.
I feed my Dog, he doesn't think I'm a God, just someone to headbutt in the Groin to demand attention.

Always found the Old Mini a bit overated to be fair, I appreciate some enjoy them and they can be nippy but once upon a time they were everywhere and dirt cheap to the point people didn't care what happened to them and now they are seen as some form of automotive dieity.
As to the New Mini or Maxi as it dwarfs a Fiesta, it pretty much is the current 1 Series, X1, 2 Series active Tourer and possibly X2 but not looked into it enough, it's why for the most part the M division doesn't touch them and when they do it's usually nicked the floor pan off of another Model, current BMW is a bit lack luster tbh and thats from someone who loves the brand.

Myself naturally has not observed the weather, in between chasing people to pay their Ebay bill have been waking up at about 3pm and being stuck awake all night, the Kuga's not around most days so can't go anywhere not that there is anywhere to go as everythings shut still and being Chav central sitting on a park benchis rarely an option as it's either burned, smeared in something or kicked to pieces.

It's funny how people's view of cars differs so much. Every BMW I've driven seemed no more exiting than the boring old Audi A4 20 valve that I drive now. Quick-ish, well engineered but ultimately not very exiting.

It will come as no surprise to BMW lovers that I have always, until age and poverty crept in, driven Alfas. Given the choice, I would have an Alfa Sud over any BMW I've seen.

Each to their own and all that

Depends on the Chassis and lump in them , much the same with some of the Alfas, the 4 pots in the mid 90s to mid 00s were woefully under powered and the majority of models are fairly heavy due to the bells and whistles so would be boring to drive, they are really best in larger capacity 6 pot form (M V8s being an excepction but tax can be a killer to own one and the V10 is incredibly fragile).

I've always had the Alfa 155 on my Bucket list, I grew up with it screaming across arcade screens in Boxy Martini liveried glory, Audis I can give or take in most cases, look visually the same no matter the spec (admitidly BMW is a sod for this now) and unless its a spicier version just seems to be a VW in a posh frock.

Favourite engine? Alfa V6 3 litre.

Favourite car? 1300c GT Junior. Who cares that an Escort could keep up with it on the straights? Just enjoy the twisty bits - sublime.

Next big decision is what car to buy to see me out. Sensible or a kit GT40 or Cobra Coupe?
At that point of life enjoyment is key so aslong as you've got a back upon the days the old bones get extra creaky then go for it, while the 40 is my fav of the 2 I'd say Coupe as it's a bit more liveable.
Can't disagree one that engine choice, at full chat it's like a beautiful symphony.

Varies by Car, a lot of the Kugas touch stuff can be ran by steering wheel buttons and the M3 when I eventually sort it out I'll look into what I can do as to get the sort of stuff I'm looking for (onboard active monitoring and some form of entertainment set up when stopped) I'll unfortunately need to use a touch screen type headunit (stock ones look like it but are controlled by 2 control knobs).
The Law does acctually see it as like messing with a phone, same as a standalone Nav, hence the messaged they have to display on start up, it is however treated with some discretion as more and more cars intergrate their conventional controls into them (fortunately neither of mine do for HVAC).

You see I don't mind that, as it makes more sense to me but then I am used to it, my stand alone unit I customised to match the car its usually in and there is acctually a way to edit the speech to make it say pretty much whatever you wish.
One thing I do like with it is if you have a LCD or semi LCD dash it will display the instruction in some cars on the guage cluster so you dont have to look over, sadly most HUD cars I've used havent got this on there yet.
