Up to Christmas all my car were hammered round the track and glue was liberally appiled regularly. Well I persauded my Dad to get me a Racer Ferrari and I thought this is too nice to hammer (although it goes for sunday afternoon outings). That was the start of my demise down the slippery slope of collecting!

What took me over the edge were the Argos TVR 400s that sparked the idea to collect a whole series! Oh no I was slipping fast. Then I got hold of a Fly Lola T70 (C92) - I'm now in free fall.

So to my problem. I've tracked down a few Lolas (C93, C92, C91 and C39) but struggling with the rest. I'm not bothered with the special editions just the standard range. I'm going to join the throngs hunting on ebay but if there is anyone out there who knows of some available at a retailer or is willing to sell/trade drop me a line.

cheers
Matt

I don't collect. No, not at all. I have multiply versions of the same car, but I don't collect. I mean, what need is there for many versions of the same car?

And as for that eBay it is the Devil's own tool, taunting innocent weak-willed people with cars they forgot to buy, or suggesting that this livery is rare or that livery is highly sought after. I don't fall for it, no not me. I buy what I want and leave all that collecting stuff to other fools.

By the way, anybody got the last French blue Fly LE that I need that to complete my set?

QUOTE (mtucker666 @ 19 Apr 2004, 17:57)I have a feeling the remaining might be slightly more elusive!
Heh, that's my experience at least... I've been looking for the #6 Scalextric GT40 (C2404A) for a few months, but the recent ones on eBay have been sold for more than I was willing to pay (even if my limits seem to be raised all the time...).

Sean has the C36 Lola.

You and me also after the no6 in sport edition - we'll have to have a gentlemens agreement not to bid up one another. The gt40 is for a fellow club member - he paid way over the odds for a no 2 black one (£70) and I said I could find them cheaper. Um looking at the prices they are on ebay at the mo I'm thinking not a lot cheaper though.

thanks for the heads up on C36 - need to save my slot car budget for another week or so before splurging again.
