I was able to work a little more on the track this weekend and I got my pit area started. Because of the limited space on my layout I had to get a little creative on a entry and exit point. I used 1" strip of basswood for the main pit wall and I used balsa strips around the entry and exit so it would bend for the curves. I still need to paint the walls and I am debating on routing grooves for each lane.

Thanks!

The MG's tail was recently glued on but a buddy had came over one night and had a couple drinks, she lost her tail again on the first corner. They do look a bit strange without them.

Routing just the one groove is a great idea. Its non functional anyway. I was thinking possibly of doing a single in and single out lane and joining with 2 in the center. It might be too much work though.
