Just a quick hello from me to you all.
Im not a serious racer but felt Id introduce myself as I have been lurking on these forums for a while. Like a lot I was real keen on Scalextric when I was younger (as well as a load of matchbox power track stuff). I recently emptied my parents loft of boxes of stuff within which I found a load of old Scalextric cars and track. My initial thoughts was to free-cycle or eBay stuff that I had. I gave some away and sold some. While testing the stuff to dispose of it I remembered what fun it was and I have now started to get hold of some newer DPR cars (from the sale of track) as well as a couple of fly´s for home use... scarily addictive this.. im now looking into digital tracks and have purchased a load of sport track off the ´bay and some conversion straights. I was initially amazed at the turn of speed of the Aston DPR in comparison to the old XR´s I was running.
That´s me and my Scalextric stuff really... Just trying to get a good track together at minute. I haven't joined any clubs although I know there are some great ones an easy drive from here... quite happy at home at the moment. Ill probably venture along once I can stop every car launching into a wall every 5 minutes!
