Renault 5 Turbo (Fly, Spirit, SCX, Teamslot) and Renault 5 Maxi Turbo (Teamslot, SCX) actually are different cars, which ist a great excuse to get both.

The same applies for Audi Quattros: Teamslot makes the original, long wheel base car in two versions, the older Group 4 car and the Group B version. Revell makes the short wheel base Audi Quattro S1.

Oops, not good on turnips. Or rallying.
Sorry!

QUOTE Opel Manta 400 - Slotter and Revell

I only know the Ascona 400 by Revell, not the Manta 400.
Have I missed something?

rallyhub

The 2 Revell Opel Ascona 400 in action. In front the Rally Monte Carlo 1982 winning car,
driven by Walter Röhrl. Behind him the Ascona 400 of Jochi Kleint, who got 3rd in 1981.

Rallyhub - how do you find the Ascona ? I have the works one and find it a bit light on the front and can de-slot on corners. What should I do to correct this ?
Thanks,

Hi 32819toon,

I have moved the guide about 9mm to the front and lowered the car 1 mm at the rear.
The front axle can move now about 2mm vertical, so it will not deslot so easy on a bumpy Scalextric Classic track.
The Ascona got about 1 sec/scalekilometer faster.
You can read more about these changes in the May issue of the German slotmagazine Car-On-Line.
