The first 'special night' of 2018 will be a short three-stage rally with two classes for Stock and Pro cars. As the preparation/tuning area will be turned into a stage, attendees are advised to bring the minimum of kit - you only need two cars all night: one Stock and one Pro car.

Full event details can be found on the site blog here: Winter Rally Challenge

Should be fun!

Final Instructions for the FSC Group B Slot Rally:

Date: Wednesday, 17 February 2018

Timing: Practice 19:00-19:45. Start 20:00 prompt

Practice: Entrants will be able to practice on the Club Track only from 19:00-19:30

1) Revisions to the format

As detailed previously, there will be two Special Stages set up in the FCC Meeting Room, we will use the permanent Astisberg Mountain stage in the Club Room and hold one racing class on the Club Track for both the Stock and Pro classes. Entrants are asked to bring one compatible car for each class (there will be a limited number of spare cars available on a first-come-first-served basis).

As it is a rally, the results in each of the two classes will be the cumulative time taken to complete all three special stages and four heats on the Club Track. The entrants will divide into three groups and go around the three Special Stages in turn, then there will be a racing class for 'Stock' cars and a racing class for 'Pro/Mod' cars.

Revision 1: one of the two stages in the Meeting Room will be a Spectator Stage, in which there will be spectator figures positioned very close to the racing line - like fans used to be in Group B rallying. Any car knocking figures over will be penalized 10 seconds.

Revision 2: as the DS timer on the Club Track isn't able to give us each competitor's total time for the race, we will run the races to the standard 'crash and burn' format. At the end of each race the fastest laps will be recorded, with your fastest laps in each heat giving a total time for the stage. Anyone who does not complete the 10-lap race will receive a 10 second penalty on their total time.

2) Eligibility and class structure

Following discussions after this week's club meeting, it's worth posting a quick reminder of what cars are anticipated in each class.

Congratulations to winner Dale and podium finishers Graham and Jim in Stock. And to Ben for his dominant showing in Pro as well as Graham and Jim for reaching the podium again too.

Thanks to Jamie, Chris and especially Dale for the help setting up and to everyone for staying on to leave the Con Club spotless when we left. Much appreciated.

There will be a highlights video along soon! Meanwhile the report is here

Our next Special Night will be Touring Cars from classic to modern: ETCC, DTM, Aussie V8 and of course the BTCC with some special guests. That's on Wednesday 28 Feb from 20:00 - full details follow soon.

There was only a couple of seconds between Graham and I on that stage wasnt there?
Iv got a feeling I was quicker in pro class on club track too, Graham and I were within a few seconds on every lane. But doubt thatd change the results either after the nightmare I had on the car park and desert/snow track. Dont know why but the car just judered round both those tracks then fixed itself for the Club track..lol
Im not bothered, just pleased with the win in stock class

I just emailed you a video clip, the only bit of usable footage I managed to take. Total of 4seconds, its a good 4seconds though... (I dont have the technology to upload it, or rather I dont know how to...)
