Is it me or have there been a real spate of late Nov/early Dec birthdays around here lately? Wonder if winter kids are more likely to be slot fans?

Happy Birthday Russell - admired your work from a distance for a long time.

Dennis, I think it's an animated gif. You can make them by combining images using art packages such as animation shop from JASC.

As for bandwidth, I'm not too up on the technical but it doesn't look like it's downloading from SF. It does not continuously download images once all the frames are there.

PS - you can do similar things with java script

I was starting to wonder about the amount of birthdays lately too!

Perhaps it may have something to do with "winter born" children being given presents which are more usable at the time of their birthday. Or possibly that a slot car set being a relatively pricy gift, kids with birthdays near xmas were given them as dual presents.
