The late Stuart Wyatt had a similar arrangement at his club in Torquay.. He had a large 6 lane "Slot Stox" track suspended on rigging above his 4 lane 1:/24 scale BSCRA track. No motorised winches it was all down to muscle power to raise or lower the track.

Cor this is old hat as far back as 1964 Hornchurch MRC had a pully system to lift their track up into the roof of the garage there were 8 fixing points around the edge of the track you bought down the hooks from the roof clipped them on and manpower did the rest , and Jack parked his Zodiac under it with confidence chuckle , picture of the track

Custom made lane switchover is impressive. Looks like copper tape, maybe they only run non mag for the infield? Really clever setup.
