Following the successful weekend of Trans-Am racing held by Pendle slot Car Club on April 2nd-3rd, we at Hawthorne Park are proposing a follow-up event using the same rules and regs for a similar event to be run late September.
At the moment we are looking at running the event on either 16th/17th September or 23rd/24th September. Now if you look at the calendar you'll see the first date is Friday. This is because of weekend access problems to our premises we'd like to run practice for a few hours on the Friday evening and the racing on the Saturday. Ideally we'd like 20 to 24 entrants but would need to know numbers as soon as possible in order to arrange the access for the Saturday.
As Hawthorne Park is located in the environs of Liverpool, hotel accommodation isn't a problem and you'd be free to pick your own from a very wide variety. Given that practice is taking place in the evening, it is likely that there wouldn't be a group meal out (especially if practice doesn't finish until 11pm). However we may take steps to order some food in (this is something we haven't thrashed out yet).
Obviously there is an element of uncertainty to arrangements at the moment until we can gauge the level of interest, if you'd like to enter could you express your interest in the thread so we can get an idea of numbers and we'll take it from there.
Any questions we'll try and answer as best we can.
