Hi

One of our club members has just finished routing a four lane track to provide our club with a second venue.

We currently race on a four-lane analogue Scaley classic track and were converting to digital later in the year - so this way we get two very different types of racing too.

He is looking at race management systems and has come up with two that he likes the look of; Slotmaster and Lapmaster.

Any thoughts on which one? and what other information do you need to help your responses?

Best Regards,

Chris

Slotmaster and Lapmaster are two of the best systems around for analogue club racing.

Lapmaster has some advantages like the audio output which does things such as reading out the race positions during the race and also the video display is more focused on what club racers look for.

Slotmaster has some extra features that are particularly useful for the home racer, but won't be wanted for most types of club racing. It's easy enough to set it up for what you want.

There's a bit of learning needed for the race controller to get the best out of any of the more advanced race control systems (these two are no exceptions). As well as both having very helpful suppliers, there are clubs around using both should you need any advice.
