I have recently aquired a 7030 PB Pro Simple H with 2 lane analogue pb. I tried to find some info on if I can still use this as just a 1 lane analogue until I have time later to go back and fix my Lc's and Powertaps. The instructions say I can run it as is. But do you have to tell the PB you only want 1 lane or does it automaticaly know?

I am sure you will get a better answer from someone else, but in the meantime....
- if you have one curved crossover track, you will effectively have only one lane so the question is irrelevent
- if you have 2 separate lanes (electrically... snip the wires on the CLCs as shown elsewhere in this forum) then you can run one or two cars ... if you only connect one controller and use one car you are racing only one car.... no problem. (Make sure you are in analogue mode, not digital for your analogue car.)

Hope that helps. You are lucky to get the 2 lane mod... I am looking at a switching arrangement between my C7030 and an analogue PB to allow me to do the same thing.

Cheers!

Looks like you're trying out my old PB. I'm pretty sure it is only going to function as 2 lane analog. If you have CLC's you'll need to remove them (straights and pit entrances are OK) or make the mod of cutting the connection between the 2 lanes.

It's easy to do and well documented here and on SCI.

Yes it is yours. I have a CLC in the design. I planned on cutting the wires. The problem comes with my power taps. I didn't ever plan on running two lane analoque and I wired the lanes together. So I will have to go back and rewire 5 of them. I was just hoping there was a faster way to run some analogue cars until I have some time to go and do that.

My guess is to do the rewiring and you will never have to look back.
Patience, grasshopper! (Or maybe you are too young for that comment?)

Cheers!

If you are for it you can upload the standard SH firmware and change one jumper on the SH board and you will get one lane analog
