I tried doing it as a transparent .gif file, but I wanted a bit of a movement effect off the back of the car - and that didn't look good at all over the transparent background.
So the background is the same colour as the forum background and the image is saved as a .jpg.
One more trick: you'll notice that the posts are made up of 2 background colours - #EEF2F7 and #F5F9FD. A cool thing to do on the background of the photo, is to set a vertical graduation between the two colours. Try and see what I mean.
