hey. i just joined here after finding a link on hotslot.net. pretty cool lookin site wiv people who know what there talkin about. my girlfriend is gonna by me a scalextric set for christmas (only a basic set 2 or 3), and seen as im at uyni, im gonna hva to grow my collection slowly. when i was younger i had LOADS of the classic scalextric set, with loops and banked curves and everything. it all rusted up tho, so now i thort, id start a fresh, and build bup a decent set. my main question is about what i should head for:

i hav a few frinds (more than 1 basiucaly) witch means 2 lanes just aint enough. next year when i get a house i wanna make a decent track layout. but i duno wether to go for a living room filling 4 lane set up, and get something like sportworld to manage it all from my copmputer. or, save a little space and head toward the new sportdigital setup. ive been lookin at it on the net (theres some reali good vids and stuff about) and it looks cool. so basicaly, im open to comments, and i will prob be back here often checking up on all the latest news, and gettin advice. i hope u will all help me in myu aim to have a quality set up in a year or 2.

Wayhey! I'm a first year uni student too! (Where are you studying? What course? etc...)

For a general laugh with mates, I think I would suggest a digital layout (sorry guys...). It'll be proper fun for the guys and all that. Unfortunatly, it will cost you many beer vouchers, so a normal Scalextric Sport set would probably be more appropriate, finanse wise. I'd suggest Ninco track, but it's not easy to get hold of when you are new to the hobby.

You must be pretty lucky... I don't think I could find 3 or 4 slotters around here to share a house with... I might have to buy a set and pretend I am a newbie

Look forward to hearing more from you (We need some more youngsters around here, everyone seems to be pretty old...)

lol. im at plymouth uni studying business information management systems. im goin for scalextric cos its easyer to get hold of, but im lookin at other firms for cars. (dodge vipers, corvettes, cobras), but again, i need more money before i do that. the digital setup looks good fun, but its expensive for a few bits of track and a power supply. i will have to wait till i have room, and money before i expand, at the moment, i just wanna fill my room floor up, and hav something else to do other than console gamming (im becomming glued tp the tv) and playing pool. i wud love to go to a slot clud just to find out about stuff, see if im interested, but there isnt n e near me either at uni or at home.
