Hi all,
My name is Bill and I just recently signed up, although I have been browsing for several weeks.
Bit of a "greeny" compared to some of you guys, but hey, I'm 64 and am a bit out of touch with things

Got the interest re-kindled after a long absence, (my kids grew up... and now my grandkids are showing interest... Well.. that's my excuse he he )

I am now in the process of starting a MDF routed track (1/32) in my loft.
Done my first strip.. a long straight, mainly to test the copper tape out, but might end up as a drag strip, as I love scratchbuiling and the modelling side of things.
It sure does run smooth, although the cars needed a bit of tuning to stop them wheel hopping he he.
Recently built a Vacuum Former, so going to try my hand at a few body shells, both vac and resin form.

Great forum you have here, with great info and really clued up members.

QUOTE I used to race at the two International Raceways in Wellington and the Hutt during the mid-60s.
Any chance we met?
Not a chance LowRider.. Around that time I was possibly freezing my goolies off on the Yorkshire Moors somewhere. A certain young lady (now my wife) had my head in the clouds around that time, so I had no thoughts on slots

Thanks for the wecome guys.

Thanks for the welcomes once more guys.
Due to the restrictions of roof supports in my loft cum attic, I am considering this circuit which I drew up using Slotmanager.
It should give around 100 foot running and fit easily in part of the loft, whilst offering a decent challenge and ease of marshalling.

If you are into fish Dave, pay my site a visit at

Yep Lowrider... Seem to like the North... Northern England.. now Far North of NZ
