So i decided that i would turn a batted rally Subaru into a police car. the car had come my way for about £3 as a non runner so i put a new motor in and some new tires
got it running nice yesterday. So i thought its time to strip the paint so i got a plastic tub but the body shell in covered it in some paint stripper
i had knocking about, Went in the house got busy with the kids and forgot about it remembered this morning when to the garage in anticipation
of a nice clean car but no just a big blue blob guess it striped the paint melted the body shell melted the plastic tub and was striping
the paint from the shelf. Well you have to laugh dont you. So if anyone has a subaru body they dont want need ive already got the rest

I may have a shell, I'll get back to you later. The one in question is the Scalextric 2-door, yes??

For stripping paint/tampo from plastic shells you need methylated spirit. ..........And even then you need to keep a close eye on progress or it can go horribly wrong.

yes its the scalextric 2 door thanks that would be great if you have, And yes lesson learnt don't leave it unattended and read the instructions

that's a good point harry but i had to go into over drive and clean the shelf before the wife realised that i had
started striping the paint off of it. just imagine a blob of metallic blue and you've got it

Why anyone would have the idea to put plastic into 'PAINT STRIPPER' is extraordinary. Wow!!!

all i will say is it seemed a good idea at the time......
