Anybody got any old scalextric horses? Or know of anyone who has any?

I know they're no the best of runners, but I'm after a few for my collection.

Or maybe just the green bases with working motors?

Cheers,

Si

Hi SS,

This is quite rare you know.

I have a collection of the version where the "motor" unit ran between a bottom track and an upper "false floor".

This relied on operation of the "controller" to make the horses negotiate a jump.

Quite interesting actually, but a little esoteric for "Slotforum".

The later type which you refer to is more common, and I doubt you will have any probs getting spares.

The same mechanisms were used for other "commercially attractive schemes" such as "Ninja Turtles", and "The Simpsons".

Which specific parts do you require ??.

Sorry couldn't resist.

Do you need a Reliant to go with them?

I think he is after the sulky horses, the ones that ran on the green track. They didn't sell well, weren't very collectable so are pretty rare. Being a Scalextric enthusist, I haven't got any...

QUOTE (Superstarsi @ 20 Aug 2012, 19:02) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Seen it thanks, but I don't fancy the 14 hour round trip!! They guy won't post it- wierd!

Noticed the non posting thing. Very odd. Will post some things though so, if you only want the horses, see if you can buy those off him and get them posted. It might just be the size of the set putting him off sending.
