Hi. I have about 500 Scalex, Revell, Carrera and MRRC figures that have been glued to my former layout. I now want to reglue them to my new circuit.I have tried using a dremel cutting disc and a wood chisel to remove the old glue but it don't work.

Has any one any ideas as to a 'chemical' that will dissolve the glue and not my fingers, or any other ideas that you have found to work. Thanks. Mike

Depending on the amount of glue that was originally applied, you might try a razor blade to separate the glue from the base, then scrape the excess from the track. I've done this a number of times while building the Glen in the Garage.

Good luck.

Sometimes Isopropyl alcohol works well. It doesn't disso;ve the glue, it creeps between the glue and plastic and releases it cleanly. Use an eyedropper or paintbrush to apply the alcohol. One note, it may remove acrylic paint so if your figures are painted, be careful.
