Just wondering how the scoring system works?

Depends on the race series

For example last night all was on was points for places

1st 50 points
2nd 35 points
3rd 25 points
4th 20 points
5th 10 points
6th 5 points

But for last season NASCAR Championship it was as follows

1st 20 points
2nd 12 points
3rd 9 points
4th 5 points
5th 3 points
6th 1 points
Per Lap Completed 1 point

Some Races this year will be run on time and only points for laps will be awarded

Trying to keep it different from the norm
