Hi All,

Some of may have seen Lee's THORNDIKE OVAL

Here Is The Build Thread

He routed the track at 100mm and came in to 78mm to drop in the Scalex Digital Bits

Now we are thinking of building another track and was looking to route the whole thing

So simple question really we want to keep 100mm lane spacing but still use the SSD digital pieces so the one problem I can see if incorporating the sensor boards into the layout as they have 78mm spacing

So are they easy to split and make 100mm

Slotfan1966 graciously provided a pictorial on how he put an XLC into his routed digital track. It so happens that his lane spacing is wider than Scaley Sport, and so he had to remove one of the IR sensors and extend it with a couple wires. This technique should work for all sensors, as long as you're nice and careful with them.

It's too bad this forum is broken, or I would have been able to subscribe to that thread a long time ago, and not spend the last 20 minutes hunting it down. And sending email to forum members still doesn't work. *sigh*
