Hey there!

Two simple questions for you;

how many cars have you got and which are your top three?

Me, approx. 55 cars.

1. Fly Viper GTSR .. High mag speed junkie fun.
2. Ninco McLaren F1 GTR (NC1) .. Pefectly balanced slot car.
3. MRRC Shelby Cobra .. Great without the mag and classic lines.

Don't think about it too long, straight off the top of your head, go for it...

Cheers,

slik.

What do you mean approx?

I have 31. 2 are such abominations I can't even put them on my website. The rest are all there.
13 on order.

Favorites:

1. Corvette (Fly) It's so cool, I keep it in my study, on the shelf.
2. Viper (Fly) they are good!
3. Shelby Daytona (Revell). I'd like a real one - one day.

Are GetSlotted taking orders on the Corvette Cabrio yet?

I may have to put a slot on lover's leap and do a Thelma and Louise when it arrives, hmmm.

I saw that film again last week. Somebody in Spain has a sense of humor. I've updated my site with their names as it is exactly right.

1. Scalextric SuperStox - Newly acquired purchases but I luv em

2. Scalextric Escort Bosch XR3i - Currently AWOL...
Sentimental reasons
, brilliant car to drive.
3. Ninco McLaren GTR (earlier versions) - One of the best slot cars ever IMHO

LOL! It does sound silly to the organized population, but listen to this . . .

I have most stacked in boxes on my bed-head.
There are a few on the bedroom window-sill.
A few on the bedroom 'dressing-table'.
Could be one or two under the bed.
Would not surprise me if I found one IN the bed somewhere!
A few on the dining room table.
Odd ones in the kitchen.
Dozens on the settee.
A few in the back seat of the car.
A few in the boot (trunk) of the car.
Could be the odd one in the office!

So I THINK I have just under a hundred (approximately )!

Top three? Impossible to answer!
Particular fondness for
1960's Monogram F1 Ferrari - it consistently won races against scratch-builts.
1990s Scalextric Minis - magnets extracted - pigs to drive, but THAT's the challenge!
1990s SCX Volvo 850 - because it drives like a real one!
But I love all the hi-mag modern Scaleyflies too.

I have around 180 cars in my stable.

I love the Scalex Sport F1s and GT40s for their speed (with the magnet). For non-magnet races, the SCX Rallys cars are hard to beat, fun wise.

I'm waiting for 2 Fly Ferrari 521s Coda Lunga in the mail. Fantastic looking cars, I can't wait to try them on the track.

I'm on 57 with 5 on order - all but 9 are in active service the others waiting in the wings for when I need some lolly.

Top 3
Ninco XK120
SCX Peug 206 w/ magnet
Top Slot Ferrari 550 Marenello - just cause I built it.

Nudging on their door are the Scaly TVR T400Rs but I have a sneaking suspiscion that they all will be overtaken by something in the not too distant future - however I can say no more!

Hi Folks

Great new board and much better for having a European flavour (see, even the spelling is right
)

I'm afdraid though that you are all rank amateurs. My collection numbers some 1500 cars. Ask Slik - he's seen them.

Three favourite cars:

1) Scalextric C69 Ferarri Berlinetta in yellow - rare as they come and a wonderful real car
2) Scalextric C2463A GT40 Black #2 - just fabulous
3) Scalextric C7 Mini Cooper - black with white roof and spotlight - the car I wanted more than anyother and couldn't have as a kid.

You'll notice a manufacturer trend here.

Perhaps we could have a forum for collecting too

Cheers

254 not including build projects.

Favs...

Proslot Alfa Romeo 156, one of my first and still my best 'box stock' racing car.
Fly Ferrari 512S, recent build for Fly Classic no mag racing.
Scalextric Porsche 959, again a fairly recent purchse but for a fairly old ( 10 years? more? ) car is is in excellent condition and runs very sweet.
