We're three guys racing GT cars on a 22 meter track. We use our own rules.
We held 26 heats (2 players against each other, 2 heats pr. battle - one on each lane) of 20 laps, and scored it like this:
The race stops immediately when the last driver has raced 20 laps.
The winning driver scores 1 point for winning, and 1 point extra per lap he has clicked extra before the last driver comes in at 20 laps.
So a lap counter of 20 - 20 would only give 1 point (since the winning driver did not click a whole extra lap), while a lap counter of 21 - 20 would give 2 points to the winning driver.
We also used the following rules:
When a driver is derailed, the driver yelles "track!" and the other driver has to stop as fast as possible. If the car got on the other driver's track he yells "rider!" and the race stops. To continue the race the third non participating driver simply says "Race!", since counting to three and simply doesn't work because of false starts.
How do you score your races and what rules do you use when there's no way to have real marshalling?
