I don't know if anyone else on Slotforum went to Brands Hatch this weekend for the classic race meeting, if you didn't then put it in your diary for next year - it is an excellent meeting with everything from Group C, Can Am, F1 through to Mini Coopers and Formula Juniors.

I went to both days this year and would like to share some of my photographs with you, hopefully it will tempt you to go next year.

Brilliant Photography David.

The New Man Porsche was at Le Mans this year and I got chance to have a close up look. It really is a great livery and I can't wait for the Slot.it car to come out.

Great pics David, particularly like the Jag and Porsche. I really have to get out and see these cars in the flesh.

Incredibly it was the Slot.It 956's that got me interested in that era of prototype racing !!

I watched the recent Le Mans Classic on TV with great interest culminating in a brilliant tussle between the NewMan 956 and a Kenwood 962. Did you see the race too Alan ?

Besides Brands Hatch are these events held anywhere else in the UK ?. I was thinking about attending Goodwood but what about Silverstone or even Donnington ?

Great pictures as always David - you must have an amazing collection there by now! Thanks for posting

Mark, many of these cars race all over. This is a photograph I took of a barrier post at the Oulton Park Gold Cup last year:

...coincidentally John Chisolm's XK120 just happened to pass the spot as I snapped the moment

Nuro - The Silk Cut Jaguar unfortunately looked extremely secondhand a few minutes after I took the photo as it crashed on the first lap of the Saturday Group C race and was taken away on a flatbed lorry!

Mark - If you check the HSCC website you will see the calender for their race meetings and you can see these cars at Silverstone, Donington, Brands, also look out for the joint promotions with the VSCC and HSCC.

John - I like the armco post, I normally specialise in debris fencing. Note how Mr Chisolm has improved the car between Oulton and Brands by painting the wire wheels red, much racier I think.
