Three different parcels waiting for me when I got home from work which was excellent!

Another Autoworld Dodge Daytona

The DeLorean

And finally a wonderful exciting box from New Zealand

A pair of slightly beaten up Tyco vans

Aurora Capri that could prove to be a good donor for a casting project as it needs new A pillars

Tyco Dumper Truck

Tyco US1 Trucks

Peugeot 905

And joy of joys, another two for the Turbo F1 collection

A few will need tweaking and a couple of chassis I've not owned before so I'm a happy bunny right now!

Cheers guys!

The tracks are going into storage but the cars are still around and I have a stash of Tomy and Micro Scalextric track in the loft so it is party on!

Sorry some of the photos are blurry. Shiny cars are hard to get in focus!!

And I posted the Venturi twice instead of the Jordan so here it is.

Lee,

I still have a few more Daytonas to buy but I think I've got about 8 or 9 of them now! I do like them!

I have two! I let a friend drive the first one and it shattered in a crash. I was rather upset shall we say so the missus bought me a second which is better than the first one which I glued back together. So I did well out of it! Still want to get the white and blue version though.

I can always edit this one's title (hopefully!) and then we can all carry on!

Lee H, I always wanted to use a Tyrrell if I ever make it to AVHORA but it just isn't advisable. Aurora's blue cars are notoriously fragile for some reason and the Tyrrell is no exception. The impact that broke my first one wasn't that bad and a normal car would have survived it but the Tyrrell was in 3 or 4 pieces.

And I managed to snap a blue Aurora Dodge Daytona changing the chassis. The whole left hand side of the car from front wing to rear just came off in my hand!

I do know a source of Tyrrell bodies so if you want to buy 8 or so to get you through a race meeting, let me know!! I would recommend getting one replicated. A strong resin casting of the Tyrrell would be very popular in my opinion.

That's also why I'll be replacing the Daytona with an Autoworld version instead!

Tony's having some bodies cast by Gary Fast in the States to test out. I'm having half a dozen as well for my home cars but it means that potentially a resin will be available for racing so that people don't have to trash classic bodies if they are in good shape. It's going to be a strengthened version of the generic Lotus body so it will be pretty cool. Hopefully it'll be tested approved and made available to all.

So while not legal yet, they could be in the future.

Once tested and it gets the seal of approval, then its game on, but not before next year!

I made sure I put plenty of "possibly", "after testing" and "if approved" in my post to keep expectations at a reasonable level but I am very excited about this body and the potential it brings.

If the rumours are true that Hellonwheels are coming back (under a new name) an AVHORA-legal F1 body from them would be awesome. There are some brilliant casters out there but, IMHO, only HW and Greg's Garage have ever found the washing-up bowl sweetspot. Sadly, Greg only focuses on T-Jets and conversions of his T-Jet bodies into bodies for HOLM.

Hopefully the Fastbodies body will work out, establish resins being AVHORA-legal, and give Hellonwheels something to aim at.
