Evening All, where would the best place be for me to purchase some new lights for my HO Le Mans cars? I need approx 6, is 'The Bay' the best place to get them from? Are they easy to fit into place? Sorry all of the questions but I would love to have them all working again so when I build my new track I would like a Le Mans race.

I bought some small white LEDs from Farnell, but despite fitting them with a high value resistor I have so far only succeeded in blowing them up when I have hooked them up to my HO cars. I read recently that they need a second diode the other way around to protect them from the back emf from the motors or some such... I haven't had a chance to try it out yet though.

I've got some Tomy lighting boards you can have, not sue how many I've got but you can have them all.

Is that for cars with lights already, or a retro fit?

Bulbs use more power than led's, as Al says they need to be protected from an overcurrent

Usually when the Tomy lighting boards have problems, I remove all the electronics, and solder in the bulbs to the pos/neg feeds on the light board, this gives permanent front and rear lights!

Hi Tony. They are for the standard Le Mans cars that I have, they have already lights installed but are not working.

Hi Deane I have the Jaguar type Le-Mans car, however I do like the look of the other picture you have shown, preferably with rear wheels. Who is the person and how much do they cost?

Yep, not a fan, and I think I've got 7 of them, 4 Porsches and 3 Jags, they were going to be Echo club cars.

Hi All,
I have a faulty lighting board for a Castrol Jag. Ref No. 8665, the diode on the + side is open circuit. Does anyone have any of the boards from scrap cars
or know the value of the diode or any other help would be appreciated, I want to keep the car as original as possible so don't want to convert to LED's.
