Take one 'free' Scalextric Racer GT40, add a bunch of old decals and an evening avoiding important stuff and this is what you get.

As the car was mostly red with gold wheels the Italian theme was a given. The green made it more so and then I concocted a fantasy Ford Italia entry for a mid-60s Le Mans in my head.

Didn't want to get the messy paints out so used old Scalextric decals and cut up the stripes from white and green sheet (not bad considering.

Needs a touch of paint around the light frames and windows, but overall not too bad. Well, better than it was.

That car is the reason that I'll probably skip renewing the membership for a year. It's amazing at the levels of quality that they can produce.
