Information on custom painting

Hi,

Ive got these 2 cars im not happy about. So i desided to give them a paint job. But im not happy about the result. If only ive taken some photos, ive could make a feature called "How NOT to paint a car!"

Where could i find more information about how to do the job. Or do some of you have some tips & tricks?

Im going to remove the paint tonight and start all over! (first i need to get more, and better sandpaper though)
