They have managed to sum it up quite succinctly in one well-written, small page.
It really was a relatively short lived 60s fad.
Certainly it still exists (or we are all suffering mass delusion and maybe we are!) but it will never ever reach that height of popularity again.
Perhaps an unwelcome conclusion, but down-to-earth realistic, comparing today's figures with the 1960's.
