We (Ted [a.k.a.Tsooko] & Peter) have set a date for the first international ( 1/43 Scale ) Scratchbuilt Proxy ( ISP ) for June 7th, 2012

Beginning at my track in Austria then to Ted track in Alberta, Canada.

If there is someone who will commit to another track, let us know.

Entrants fees will be $15.00 /car. Two car limit / entrant.
These fees will be used to pay the freight from Austria to Canada and back to you.. Any money left over will be put into the prize pool. It will be up to the entrant to get the cars to Peter. If you can combine with a buddy you may save some on shipping. Be forewarned there may be more freight charges to get the cars back to the entrants. It is not our intent to subsidise the freight.

Basically the rules will be the same as ProNoMag rules with the exception of tires. NO SILICONE tires.

Rules:
1) car must be approximately 1/43rd
2) max. width 50.8mm
3) no fluid may leak out, no grease, oil or braid juice may pollute the track, no tire glue or similar
4) teams may ask for a special voltage where the car should be run.
5) car must have a body that looks like a car
6) 2 cars / entrant
7) $15.00 fee /car
8) Scratchbuilt chassis
9) No silicone tires

concours de elegance: the best looking car will be voted by a poll open for all entrants

The rules are pretty wide open and may be refined somewhat but the idea is to participate.

Post your questions here and please let us know if you are going to participate. You can PM us if you want.
Good luck and start building.

Ted & Peter

Has been a bit quiet here...

I am managing to overcome the challenges of 1:43 and have my car running :- ) Have managed to drive it approximately 10 laps around my 10 metre Carrera Evolution/Exklusiv track. I stopped when I was getting over-confident !! The body is far from finished, I put the windscreen in for the photograph and the front axle is not fixed yet. The chassis is pretty much a super-glue bitsa special - no glamour there. Not happy with the wheels but they will do for now.

Lancia Flaminia Super Sport

Kind regards, Leo

Yes, Leo, it's a nice car. And the wheel rims do not look really bad. Grind them at the centre and glue a piece of plastic on.

Looks good Leo.

Yes the event is still going. I have been thrashing on my 2 car entry and will post a pic or two soon. I'll be sending them next week as it will take a couple of weeks to get to Austria from Canada.

On other forums ( SCI and HRW ) a few people have posted pics of their entrants and I expect a good turn out.

All the entrants should pm Peter for His address if you don't have it yet and how to pay the entrant's fee. Peter will box all the cars then send them to me after he runs them. I'll send them back to you when I'm done, along with your prizes. Make sure you send your cars in a small strong box with a little extra room for the prizes. That way I can use your boxes to send back your cars. Thx.

I'm thinking what to throw in for prizes and since I have just got in a couple of the new Kyosho cars I think I'll throw them into the prize pool along with some resin cast bodies I do. We will make a list and you will get to choose according to your finish number.

Be patient with me as it is my first proxy race.

Good luck to all and I am really looking forward to running your cars.

She's a beauty.Datto!!!
I won't have a chance in the show and shine, with entries like that.

The die is cast and my cars were mailed on Thursday.

The driver blew an engine in practise on Wednesday. The mechanics thrashed all nite to change it and get a few laps in to break it in.
A couple of days before that the other blew a tire coming out of Deadman's corner. No fenders were hurt as that is the slowest part of the track. Problem was that was a special tire and had to be sent back to the factory for capping.

The boys found an old wing in the back of the shop. I don't know how they could find anything in that mess! Buddy, our head mech got some 200 mph tape (duct tape) and stuck it on the McLaren

He said it would work just fine as long it stays on it's wheels.

I hope everyone has fun.

Peter! Drive 'em like you stold 'em!!!

Hi Marc,
great looking car! I´m going to have worries to drive that beauty so fast that i´m risking a barrel roll!
What body is that? Where did you get that nice wheel inserts? Any data on the engine/wheels/gearing?
I´m sure that the car will make it here in time!
Your track is looking sooo good! I think i did not see the corner in the 1st pic before from this angle - looks great!

AC Cobra from a Monogram Ultimates kit Masmojo was kind enough to give me. Gearing is 3:1 with R-D crown and BSRT pinion, with a Radio Shack motor. Printed chassis with 3/32 axles, bronse bushings, R-D wheels, and another try at home-brew urethane tires. The wheel inserts and driver are from Immense Miniatures
And like Tsooko said, drive it like you stole it!

your wish is my command, Marc!

thanks for the data, sounds like a great combination! My GT40 also got a RS motor, but the gearing is tad shorter (7/23) 3.29. Do you know the overall weight? Man, i´m looking forward to this race!
I´ll check immense miniatures for the wheel insert!

cheers,
Peter

Peter, Man I am totaled, my intent was to do a three day holiday weekend thrash to get my car together, but I have renewed work on my bathrooms and I misplaced my drill!
Then Sunday afternoon I found my drill, but I could not then find the zip-lock that had my project car in it!

I am really gutted and sorry for waiting till the last minute to do it, but life has been getting in the way!

Wish everybody luck!

When was the race again? I know it's coming up pretty quick!
