No, they are an invention, not real. The importer had Fly do the same colour and the same number for every release they made. I thought they were quite collectable.

I aquired one with a pile of other stuff. It had been run, was missing a mirror but otherwise was ok.
It didnt fit the profile so I listed it on the Flea expect in £10-15.
20+ bids later it went for about £46, go figure! After some research I found out about Gaugemasters "69" status to explain the price.

As he linked to the fictitious number 69 importers special edition version I thought he referring to that actual car.
Yes the marcos did race, and I believe I read somewhere that the owner of Fly cars actual drove one of them (the multi-coloured one). Didn't one run at LeMans as well?

thanks gentleman. i knew that the marcos was an actual car. i just wanted to know if this red car was a car that actually raced or was some model that fly wanted to sell as a collector car. anyway thanks again. it is getting up there. too much for me.
