First of all I'd like to thank everyone who wished me well with the eye surgery. All is well and I am looking forward to getting the other side done, asap.

Lots of delays with this race!!!
I have been running off the cars at the rate of three a day and downloading the video to YouTube. It has taken 6-8 hours per car to get this done. I hope you enjoy them.

My track sure did shuffle the deck as you will see. Some cars did well and others did not do so well.

Every car got in three heats of 25 laps. The slowest heat's time was thrown out and the remaining two heat times were added together. Lowest time wins.
Times go like this: Minutes. Seconds. 1/100 of a second. So 2.22.43 is 2 minutes 22 seconds and 43 /100 seconds. The * is the heat thrown out. FT is the fastest lap in all three heats.

Here is how it went on my track.

#1 / Peter MCA #12
1.53.83
1.55.57
1.55.76* - Total: 3.09.40 - FT lap 0.4.43

#2 / Easyed car #00
1.55.08
1.55.02
1.58.98* - Total: 3.10.10 - FT lap 0.4.41

#3 / Easyed car #8
2.02.16
1.57.91
2.03.39* - Total: 3.60.07 - FT lap 0.4.55

#4 / Peter Ford # 13
2.04.57
2.02.54
2.08.55* - Total: 4.07.11 - FT lap 0.4.75

#5 / Ted car 917 #22
2.03.29
2.08.14
2.08.82* - Total: 4.11.43 - FT lap 0.4.79

#6 / Ted car #1
2.16.12
2.15.02
2.16.24* - Total: 4.31.14 - FT lap 0.5.14

#7 / Masmojo Alfa #1
2.15.95
2.21.14
2.21.74* - Total: 4.37.09 - FT lap 0.510

#8 / Datto Cobra #56
2.20.00
2.18.17
2.26.75* - Total: 4.38.17 - FT lap 0.510

#9 / Leo Lancia
2.40.90
2.50.29
3.09.54* - Total: 4.91.19 - FT lap 0.6.40

Congratulations, and well done Peter! The MCA car just squeaked by Easyed's nascar by .7 tenths of a second!

Fasted lap of the race was Easyed's #00 at 0.4.41 only .02 ahead of Peter's MCA.
How can you get any closer?

Well done to all!

Yappa Dappa Doooooooooo!
Great race report with great videos, Ted!
My bet would have been on the GT40, but it seems a little overpowered for your small [email protected] The mild motor in the MCA really did the trick, ey?
Finally after being involved in some proxies, the MCA finally is competible

Congratulations to all other entrants and especially the podium, great little cars have been involved in this race!
Thanks for hosting, Ted!
cheers,
Peter

Congratulations Peter for winning and for running a stage and joint organizing the event with Ted.

The fact that you used such different tracks added a lot to the competition as it allowed a good all round car to win, rather than just the fastest!

I look forward to Pronomag and the next ISP43!

Regards, Lloyd

Wow, thanks for the huge effort Ted. Good that your recovery has been quick and that thetreatment was successful. I'm certainly glad that you did the video, I can see the difference between my car and the others.
Congratulations to Peter, and to everyone else as well.

Kind regards, Leo

Well, After running them on my track I felt like mine and Datto's cars were pretty even, but I never would have guessed just how even!

MAN, that DNF in the first race totally screwed me!

Congrats everybody!

I am sure that if I ran the whole series over there would be different results, but perhaps not. I couldn't predict who would be fastest or more stable, but I can tell you that it was fun being able to run a whole bunch of different designs to see what they would do.
If you have never entered a proxy race you got to do yourself a favour and do so. It is a very different experience.
My winning car at Peter's wore out the tires for crying out loud!!
I had coated foam tires with Urathane liquid rubber if you all remember. I put four layers on them and the layers wore through to the foam on the outside edges of the tires just like real tires will get the thread worn off. Foam tire don't give as good traction on my track as do urathane so the car was sliding too much and not hooking up for forward bite. Go figure!!!!

Here is a thought: Peter is a World Champion!!! In fact the first World Champion for 1/43 scale cars. I wish I had a trophy to send him he could put in His track room.
If you don't think that is not a big deal just ask your self how many World Champions do you know?
Just how cool is that?
