This film saved my sanity. I was born in england & many here in Aus claim I still have an accent. My stepson is 8 & decided that trying to talk like me involves putting on a cockney accent - odd since I'm from the midlands. (although I was born in London and at the hospital I was born in had the bow bells been ringing, had the windows been open, and had my mum not been going "ARRGH AAAARGH AAAARGH" she reckons I technically would have been)
Anyhoo - the boy's model for a cockney accent was Dick Van **** in Mary Poppins. (
) but now he's graduated to a Michael Caine. It's FAR easier on the earholes!!
