Started, I think, by an inadvertent misnaming by Gaugemaster, the "Martini" reference for the Fly BMW CSL seems to be spreading. Even found one on Ebay claiming to be such.

The livery is the works BMW Motorsport colours (blue, red and purple), nothing to do with Martini.



There, got that off my chest.

Quite right too !!

I believe the same colours are still extant on Alpina versions of BMW's................

So,guys tell me as I`m not very clued up on real cars, was there a Martini version then

Well, why didn't someone tell me?
I will get it changed as soon as possible and thanks Scott for starting the thread. If anyone sees any more mistakes, please email me and I will make the neccessary corrections

In fact these colours are still the colours of BMW's M department, the guys responsible for the more sportive BMW cars like the M3 and M5. Alpina has a colour scheme with different shades of green.

These were also the colours of BMW's Motorsports department but I heard that they've opted now for blue, white and red (like on Fly's newest M3 GTR).

Ok, to put this one to bed...

I went downstairs....

Out into the garage....

...and took a piccy of my BMW MSport Dakar bike.....



The colours are remarkably similar to those used on the FLY BMW CSL
