'The Chimp', the Chevron/Imp was driven by saloon ace Jonathan Buncombe and owned by his brother-in-law, Tony Wadsworth.
Beneath the all-glassfibre Chrysler-based bodywork lurked a complete Chevron B21 2-litre sports racing car boasting 270 bhp of Cosworth power.
This is my slot car tribute based on a heavily modified resin shell with home made decals and PCS32 chassis.

That's amazing, and looks pretty well JUST like the original car! Not too many panels came out of the presses at Linwood I bet, maybe just the roof. :)

And the two pics with Baby Bertha, both RW and slot, are WONDERFUL! Two of my fave cars in the same shot. (y)

Cheers Kit, I think the whole Chimp body shell was glass-fibre
