Here`s my Jouef collection so far.
I`ve always had a mega soft spot for these little cars as my first two slot cars back in `68 were (Champion) Jouef.
Not too many cars to collect now then I`ll try & get rarer coloured examples.
I`ll post more pics as & when I add to the collection.
Cheers,
Kev.

Thanks for sharing the pix Kev.
They might not be the most accurate models, but you really can't fault them for character... they've got bags of it!

Thanks Kev - great collection. Any major items you're still missing, or just color variations?

Jouef is really a pretty high-quality product for the price (much better moldings than Circuit 24, for instance, but C24 was really made to be an indestructible toy). Not sure about actualy scale accuracy, but the cars generally seem very well done, much better than a lot of equivalent brands.

They're also something of an iconic brand here in France, since so many kids got their start with Jouef. To simplify things a bit, Scalextric (or Fleischmann) was the rich boy's toy, Jouef was everyman's toy, and Circuit 24 was somewhere in between, the dream of boys who read "Tintin" magazine in 63-64. Plus, Circuit 24 was invented by Monsieur Jouet ("toy")! Amazing but true...

And there are actually more books on Jouef than on C-24...

No rare models missing Don, but quite a few rare liveries.
I`m currently waiting for a winged version of the Lotus F1 to arrive from France.
Next on the list is the mid 70`s Ferrari 312T.
Then it`ll be just a case of getting a few more run of the mill 70s cars.
Once I get them I would like the very rare dark blue Porsche 917, dark blue Ligier JS11 & other interesting colours that I know are out there.
The drag-car & go-kart will probably be the last two I buy (utter yuk!).
Cheers,
Kev
