not really the prettiest car, but hey, clear windows, driver figure, good scale proportions, steering front wheels, rotating guide - way better than an actual go!car ....
nice find, Kev!
Thank-you gentlemen.
Yes, the Renaults have steering Bob. Unusually Jouef kept the steering on this car until the end of French production in 1980.

PS. Here`s a picture of the matching yellow Matra Bagheera, this is a rare livery.
I finally got hold of the Jouef car I`ve always wanted. From 1963, the incredibly rare tampo printed ("deco competition") E Type Jag. Pictured next to the matching Mercedes 300sl.

Nice scoop Kev.
That Jag is a sharp looker.
its interesting to note the driver placement between the Merc and the Jag.
Even back then the manufacturer seems to have paid attn to detail like that.
Thanks for, the pics Kev.
Bob
Thanks Bob.
I`m so lucky to have this pair of cars.
A nice gentleman from France got in touch with me out of the blue, offering to sell the Jag.
A good point to note about these cars is that they are a different shade of red to other ETypes & Mercs, which makes them impossible to fake - although people do try!
Not the prettiest, but another very hard to find car.
The economy "baby" Ferrari. Not made for long & only available as part of a set - Jouef remoulded the body tops on these cars. There are very few left now. For some unknown reason the Ferrari is a lot rarer than the BRM.

Pictured next to the matching BRM. These cars are too fragile to use.
Here you can see the retooled body top.(No exhausts or roll bars were fitted on these cars)
Hi Bob.
They are made out of a very brittle/cheap plastic.
Those plastic pins holding on the front wheels were suspect on all economy models - but especially so on these two.
You wouldn`t believe how long it took me to find the Ferrari, over a year!
Cheers
Kev
