My collection varies from 90 to 400 or so cars and changes weekly!
Between my son and I we have 30 odd race cars that we race every week, these cars only get changed if a race class changes or the car get written off. Any damaged race cars are usually stripped for bits for keeping the other race cars going.
To fund the racing I buy and sell "normal" slotcars, hence the big difference in numbers.
I have around 25 cars that I keep in my collection, usually because they have an appeal in some way, like a fly 911, because the engine is in the correct place, a few pioneer cars because of the detail and me being a steve McQueen fan, ninco pro truck and raid, because of the suspension, a escort cossy with a proper manufactered metal chassis, basically cars which are technically different.
I also build alot of unique slotcars like escort pick-up trucks or rusty wrecks or fun stuff like dual engined cars just to experiment really.
Generally it tends to fund itself over a course of a year but I have spend lots some months and made a bit other months!
