Hi al, and you Peter.
How about a new Forum Topic, for AAWSC pages. called 'The Sports Bar' or 'Coffee Shop' or.....
Somewhere we can gather and just have a natter, on slots, Liff, or what ever. Got a problem, then spell it out in the ' AAWSC Club House'
There, said it was a 'BRIGHT' idea.

Did you all get the Scalextric XL Spread Sheet. I only have a few email address, so asked Dave and Alan to post on. If you did not, then please PM me and I will send it.

There, I told you. The above line could have gone in 'AAWSC Club House'

I must stay away from the coffee at this time of night

Anyone can start a topic; you don't have to ask permission.
Just remember, though, that the more topics there are in the AAWSCC section, the harder it is for members to keep tabs on what is happening, and when, at the club. That is, the act of racing slot cars. Also, I personally can't see the point of having a discussion online between people who see each other every week. It doesn't leave anything for us to talk about on club nights.

OK, did not know that anybody could start up a section. Threads yes.
The trouble with race nights, and chatting is, you remember what you wanted to talk about on the way home. Too busy racing to have a chat, Tea break we can. But I was thinking more on the lines of. NOW, as it where. You think of something to say. so you want to air it then and now. Not wait for next weeks race.
If the subject is important enough, it can be carried on, on race night.
For instance. Pete, you know how to set a car up. To disuse this on race night, could take all evening, we would not get any racing done. A few hinters, on here would go down a treat. I may have something, one of you may what/ I can tell you about it here, and take it further on race night, start the ball rolling as it where.
I know we can start up a thread on a subject, but then our section on SF would get very large. Just one subject header, as I said 'Coffee Shop', it would just be one.

Got the spreadsheet from Dave (I must send you my Email address), how long did it take you to compile. Are you going to add any other manufacturers?

Keith, it took some time, and I'm still working on rev 4. As for other makes. I have started on Fly, and a SS on Motors, with links to photos. It's Ok knowing that some of what I'm doing is on-line, here there and way over there in the corner. But to have it there, on you desk top save a heck of a lot of time.
I have an SS on all our cars. with detailed information. heading are Make, Model, colour, weight, wheel & tyre size, pinion and gear teeth, ratio, width, length, WB, Track, Hight. etc.
There is also a Scalextric 2 x DVD set, that's over 6 Gig of data covering all cats, 1 to 52 + a heck of a lot of other info on Scalextric cars. Sets etc. This I'm not handing out as a free be. It cost me a few £ to gather the information. I need to recover that before I do. May have planes to start one on Pioneer, Ninco, we will see?

I said, anybody can start a topic, Andy. You yourself have started seven in this club's Forum!

SlotForum is divided into sections, called 'Community Forums', one of which is Clubs.
The 'Clubs' Forum is divided into sections, called 'Subforums', one of which is Alton and Winchester Slot Car Club.
Subforums are divided into topics, or threads.
Only Slotforum Moderators can create Community Forums and Subforums. I am not a Slotforum Moderator, and I don't have that authority. I merely moderate the AAWSCC Subforum.

'For Pete's Sake'
SEVEN, as in 7. or 111, or Holy Cow T---- Batman, never really counted them.
OK, I see where your coming from. All I wanted was a 'Hay, that's a dame good idea there Andy' or 'Leave it out, what's the point', or .....
As no one seems that interest, I will not take it any further.
I was just going to set it up. But being the 'PROBY' I thought I would get a general feeling for my 'BRIGHT' idea. Only two of us.....Bothered to reply to this thread. Cannot count Keith, as he was talking about something else.

Hay Ho....:-(

Peter, How did you find the SS?

Regarding your suggestion of setting up a thread entitled "Club Room" or something - my feeling is that it is not a bad idea, it may allow us to post trivia without starting a new thread each time.

Great, I knew someone was on my wave length. Yip EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeee

Aaah. My email address has been changed, because I was getting too much spam. Drop the r off the end of peter, and the rest of the address is the same.

Pete, can you get rid of the email links at the top?
I never check that one and you have changed. Maybe put 'if you want to know more check out the website' and then they can email from there.

Hi Gang. As we all know, at the end of a series, we decide on what next to race.
Class, Manufacture, Cars etc.
How about we list here, what we would like to see in the future.
Goodwood for example. It's always left until we are all about to vacate the 'GARAGE'. If we have it here, we can then all look before we go to AAWSCC so have a good idea on what we want to race.

HPI has been a good one, like Pioneer. I can see Carrera being fun. Open for me is the best, but that's just MHO.
