I'm presently adding FIA kerbing to my raceway and I was wondering if anyone knows how long each red and white section is? I painted the white directly onto the track itself to make it look like the inside lane or outside lane uses the rumblestrips the way real drivers do but have no clue how wide or long each color is. Any help out there???

Ed,

Red and white is too pedestrian. Some tracks have red and blue, some red and yellow, some red/white/blue etc.. So colour choice would seem to be up to the track. As for the size I would think you can scale that from photos?

This may help http://www.fim-live.com/fileadmin/alfresco...RC-NCCR_Ang.pdf

From FIA they are max 23cm high so much higher than scalextric ones.

I was watching racing from Scotland this morning and the kerbs were blue and white, but Portugal again watching this morning was yes red and white.. It is quite popular to use national or state colour for kerbs. Again Spain red and yellow.

Ah but the new Trilliumband Ontario flag is navy and white.

..and Vintage or new. Kerb markings at Mosport used to be closer together than the modern ones. I think the new ones are so that the TV system can process the image and not get blurred like it does here sometimes.
