Thanks very much... I really do appreciate it, hopefully some of the slotters will see it and decide to come along and have a go themselves...

My humblest apologies Lee..... And to anybody else that I have managed to confuse....

I did originally say the 15th but at some point I got confused (It's not difficult) and for some reason I said the 22nd but it isn't.... I am doing a kids party on the 22nd.... Somehow I got them muddled up and said that the Slot it GP was on that 22nd, it's NOT, it's definitely on the 15th.....

Also there were a few conflicting threads, one said the 22nd another said the 15th... When I realised (because Irish Ed pointed it out to me, thanks Ed !!) I immediately put an announcement on here to confirm the correct date..

Graeme (Winkle) T, also asked the moderators to put the conflicting threads into one... Which it seems that they have done.... I think that if you check under "Slot It Group C Kilburn and Southend" you will find my apology and the correct date on there..

I had to stick to the 15th as Irish Ed and a friend had already booked their flights to come here from Ireland and there is no way that I could ask them to change the dates ..... I am sorry for my balls up but it is now set in stone for the 15th Jan..... I hope it isn't a problem for anyone...

As I said in my last post we are actually in Kilburn Auto Centre, which is just next to the Italian cafe...

I reckon that it is easiest to come off the M25 on to the M1, all the way to the end of the M1 and head to the A5... We are 20 yards off the A5... About 1.5 miles from the end of the M1

It's probably quicker from the A40 but unless you know your way around the N.Circular A406, it might get a bit complicated...

Plenty of parking, we can fit approx 12 cars on the front and all of the roads around here is free parking at weekends....

It would be good to see some new faces...

Two weeks into the New Year.......

A quick update on Kilburn Slot Car Club.....

As with all clubs we need members but as a "new club" we really need new members........ We have put a lot of time and effort into getting this club going, it has been a long hard and expensive slog... But I personally think that we have got a really lovely track and a great venue... The thing that we are lacking most is bums on seats... Well feet on rotrums to be more precise..... It seems a shame that more people aren't racing here.... Everything is set up for some brilliant nights out, some hard racing and a bit of banter....

So please come along and have a look for yourself... In these days I do know that it is hard to get out but come along and give it a try..... You never know you may even enjoy it.....

Monday nights... Doors open at 7.00, racing to start at 8.00, £7.00 entry fee, we are hoping to race two classes......

Blimey.................. It seems that we can't make up our minds....

We had a chat the other day and it appears that most people want to race on Tuesdays........ Or Wednesdays............. Grrrr..

I am going to put this to a vote....

I really would like to have some feedback on this, if anyone out there is prepared to say that they would turn up on a regular basis if our club ran on a certain night, please let me know...

It's a great track, a brilliant venue and I am prepared to run whichever night that I can get the most members to turn up for...... I personally don't mind which night we race, all I want is the night when I can get the most people there.....

So, please let me know.....

Tuesdays
Wednesdays
Thursdays

I will make my decision on the night that I can get most people down here....

It has cost a small fortune to build the track, the rent is too much for me to pay all of it, Fishy, Squid, Ernie and I have put in a huge effort, so please , please, please come along and support us....

I hate to say it but it seems to me that this great hobby is dying, don't let it happen.....

Graeme at Essex, Russ at W.London, Marc at Burnt Oak and Nic, Roland, Matt and Ken at Watford, Julian, Lee and Phil at Molesey and all the other clubs around the country (sorry for not mentioning you all) have all put in a huge amount of time and effort................ Please don't let PS3 or XBox take over the world completely...... Come along support your local club and have a great nights racing....
