Hi all,

Looking at a suitable replacement for IR Sensor for scaley lane changer.

Part number etc would be great

Many thanks

Thanks Shad, great work by the way.

My needs may be a little simpler, i want to have an IR Sensor of a fly lead so I can install it in my wooden track without having to dismantle the track. It looks mighty tricky soldering that size!!! my plan is to attach the wires to either side of the existing sensor so im not sure if the sensor may be better as a bulb type so I can shove it up to the bottom of the slot.

Thoughts anyone?

These are the ones I have been using for advanced S/F sensors for the ARC PRO. Not tried them in lane changers... they do have the advantage of black packaging which cuts down their visible light response... this gives them far better selectivity with respect to IR wavelengths...

Hi Dave,

This is a bit old and I've not tried it but Shaunmbx's work might be of interest: https://www.slotforum.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=20714&p=233011
Thanks Chris, I was actually just looking at that thread its interesting, sadly the links for components are all defunct! not surprising it's from a while back
