I have replaced 2, if its the small plastic one. I replaced SF line sensor and CLC sensor, they were the same.

Riko will agree, its a very difficult repair!

Another option would be to use the sensor board from a parted out C7030 or C7039.

Thanks Shad, great work by the way.

My needs may be a little simpler, i want to have an IR Sensor of a fly lead so I can install it in my wooden track without having to dismantle the track. It looks mighty tricky soldering that size!!! my plan is to attach the wires to either side of the existing sensor so im not sure if the sensor may be better as a bulb type so I can shove it up to the bottom of the slot.

Thoughts anyone?

These are the ones I have been using for advanced S/F sensors for the ARC PRO. Not tried them in lane changers... they do have the advantage of black packaging which cuts down their visible light response... this gives them far better selectivity with respect to IR wavelengths...

Hi Dave, there is a small angular cut-away on one of the four upper corners... you do need very good eyesight or the help of an eyeglass to see it... however it is there!
