Hi! I wonder if there are someone who also collect Le Mans winners?

Hi Richard,

If you want "hard" bodies, Nostalgia Raceways makes a few that are on your list, in resin:-

1950 Talbot Largo 1950 "Le Mans" Sports
1951 Jaguar C type
1955-57 Jaguar D-Types
1960 Ferrari 250 TR 59/60

Nostalgia Raceways bodies are made by John Bacon and are available from Dave's Mundaring Hobby Centre.

BUM Slot also make a 1955 Jaguar D-Type and A2M makes a resin body.

MRRC makes the 1964 Ferrari Tipo 275 P #20, and Anni-Mini makes the 1974 Matra Simca MS670.

MRRC made a 1976 Porsche 936, which you may still find. Scalextric did a 1988 Jaguar XJR-9 LM Silk Cut, which wasn't too bad.

Here are pictures of a Betta vacuum-formed Jaguar XJR-8, that has been painted to look like the 1989 Le Mans winning XJR-9:-

Kind regards

Russell

Isn´t the Matra Simca from Anni-Mini from 1972?

Richard, I think that you are correct. Anni-Mini lists the car as the Matra MS 670 V12, No.14, winner 1974 Le Mans 24 hour, but Henri Pescarolo and Gérard Larrousse won the 1974 event with a Matra-Simca MS670C, and it was car number 7!

Matra had 4 cars at Le Mans in 1972, a M660, and 3 M670's:-

This is the Anni-Mini car, the Cevert/Ganley Matra 670-02 at Le Mans in 1972:-

Cevert Le Mans 1973:-

Jabouille/Migault Matra-Simca MS670C Le Mans 1974:-

MRRC did a limited re-release of the Porsche 936 for the NSCC. Your best bet is to try Phil Smith.

I believe that the Pendle ref. 9905 is the 1964 winning Guichet - Vaccarella Ferrari.

Kind regards

Russell
