Hi, I'm new to slot car racing, besides playing with Tyco tracks as a kid there lies no experience within me. I have two Life-Like race track sets with a total of four cars. Two of those four cars no longer want to move. Video for this can be found here. Any information on getting these two cars working again would be great.

Hi, looks like it could well be the motors, it would probably be cheeper to buy new cars, or look around for secon hand cars that you can canablise your self.

About the only part you can get for a LifeLike T chassis is the pickups - if it isn't these you might as well buy new chassis for them

As Julian says you may be looking at new chassis but I'd try lifting the rear of the car gently which will make the pickups press the track better it may just be that you need new shoes.

OK. There are some things that I left out. Each race track set came with a tune up kit which had two pairs of shoes in each. I've tried changing the shoes and even putting an arc in the shoes to contact the track better but nothing seems to move those two cars. If I put any of the eight total pairs of shoes that I have on the Mustangs (the working cars for those who haven't seen the video) they still work. So I'm guessing I just need to buy new cars. Thanks everyone for your input. If there are any other suggestions I'm open to hear them.

That definately sounds like dead motors just get yourself 2 new chassis.

what happens if you lift the rear wheels or help the car a little to move forward. could be a dead point they have to go through. otherwise I think they're dead (but that was said before).
nb, check the parkingbrake
