The final round of this years LGTC will be held on the Woking clubs excellent 5 lane routed track on Sunday 24th October.
Should be an interesting day with Championship contenders Matt Digby, Brian Eldridge and William Oxley taking on the home drivers who have always won on this track.

If your interested in competing contact me for details.

Please note it will be a 2pm start.

Just to say that this track is absolutely awesome

It 5 lane routed as Roly says, copper tape. It's got an awesome infield with varying radius corners, and an uphill corkscrew leading onto the main straight. It's polyurathane surface so Proslots or Slot.it's are the tyres to use.

I'd really like to see some of the Porsche challenge drivers coming down for this one as you should feel right at home on this track.

Yes, a beautifully made track, well worth a visit. I'm looking forward to padding out the midfield, as ever!

Hey there!

Living very close myself, I shall do my best to attend, work allowing.

Anybody who would like to meet at mine before the start is quite welcome and if I'm in a good mood you may even get a cuppa (Tetley of course
).

I shall do my best to get a few of the farnham crew along as well.

Cheers,

Julian.

Doh!

I am about 20 mins away - but my boys are swimming that weekend! As they are both in the top 15 in their age group in the UK I need a REEEEALLY good excuse to avoid championship swims--- the number of brownie points I had to earn to get to the NSCC weekend last year ....!!

... and I'm still working towards next year's!!

But please let us know more about this track as it is literally round the corner, so as Slik says - the Farnham Posse can turn up.

Woking has a very flat surface, copper tape and with excellent grip it makes a very challenging track, I would say it is a 'drivers' track. Molesey and Woking have a inter-club challenge which is very popular. The link below is for the Woking web site, not updated regularly but should give you an idea on the size and shape.

My local club is Molesey if you would like to visit any time you are most welcome

As someone who as raced there a fair few times here is a couple of tips

The tyres of choice are Slot.it P2's (treated naturally) - the track is (normally) got
a good layer of Slot.it rubber on it so anything else don't work (believe me I have tried)

Motors of choice are Slot.it 25k or EVO 4's - don't think about the MRRC Satan motor (something 04 ?) - tried it and the track doesn't lend itself to it.

Apply power quite progressivly when setting off down the hill from the donut - else you coming straight out the slot and be carefully when on the outside of someone at the hairpin - you will get nerffed out your lane.

erm , thats about all I can think of at the mo.

QUOTE (slik @ 19 Oct 2004, 14:41)Hey there!

I'm too hoping Chris will be there. However, I don't think he is in the Woking area at present?

Cheers,

Julian.

Hiya , I am in the Woking area still - don't move for another 4 weeks , today is the
first I heard about Sunday.

Don't think I can make it though as I gotta go appliance & bed shopping during the day for my new house (the one I move into when I leave Woking) - though if I am done early will make sure I pop in !

On a totally off topic , they got the Mclaren F1 GTR in GULF livery out at work at the
moment
, taking pictures later will post them tommorow

Just a quick post to say thanks to all the folk at Woking for a really great day, and to Roly (250 GTO) for organising the thing in the first place. An excellent event which I think was enjoyed by all.
