Usually go on the Tuesday, but apparently there isn't one this year. So will probably go the first day (Thursday?) but that means possibly missing a nights racing at Liphook, so Friday is also a chance.

I was actually going to give it a miss this year but as it draws nearer I find it impossible to resist. My main gripe is that most companies now wait till Nuremburg(which is immediately after London) to announce their range and for a couple of years it got really frustrating seeing all of last years stuff on the shelves.

When it was at Olympia it was possible for tickets to be bought on the door but I can't be sure that is still the same at Excel. Even if non trade could get in the reps tend to home in on the guys wearing the UK Buyer badges to get the nice orders for the year tied up. I get a shop assistant badge, which is a laugh in itself, as there would then not be room in this particular model shop for any customers with 2 members of staff!

regsiter online (free) or pay at door £15! By registering online you just tell a little white lie about being trade.

Scalextric and, according to Jexy, SCX will be announcing/showing their 2004 range. All major manafacturers represented so hopefully more will showing their 2004 wares.

All major manufacturers represented!

You sure Matt?

It's great if you're right as last year, in fact since it's been at Excel, there has been no Guagemaster (Fly, Cartrix, Pink Kar etc.) and no Hobby Company (Ninco).

Aaah! Just had a thought, were you reading some blurb on a website, and it means major toy manufacturers.

We can still hope though, right!

All those you mention were there last year, Matt, with the exception of Ninco, so that's good news for a start.

Hornby, Technitoys and Carrera all had 2003 ranges to see (some just artistic impressions), Revellogram had the first showing of the Daytona, albeit behind glass, but the Autoart distributor only had the Scoobies on display which had already been out a while anyway.

Really looking forward to it now

I may or may not be going on the Saturday as Intie has suggested. Something even more important has come up!

However I am going but have no set plans for any day really. I may even turn up over 2 days.

If I see anybody with a very scruffy appearance and holes in their shoes as a result of an overspend on slot cars in 2003, then I will know its a Slotforum member!

Alternatively if you can agree a Slotforum meeting place and set time in the slot car area for each day then that offers flexibility?
