Hello.... Anyone have a nice 1/24 or 1/32 2H vac body?

Joel: I believe I have a 1/32 vac shell. It's unused and would be in good condition except that it is painted (inside, enamel, white). I didn't get any further with it. I'm fairly sure it has the wing.
It's from one of the British producers in the 1970s. I forget which.
If you're interested, I'll mount a search for it. I do remember the little carton it's in; just not sure which big carton that's in.

I have a few other sports-racing shells from the same period (unpainted), including the BRM Can-Am car and (I think) the Autocoast.

I plan on re-popping some of the high quality 60's vac's before they are all gone for myself and others if the need arises.

Yes I realize Patto has lots of vac bodies available. The quality I feel are lacking, but wonderful decals.

Joel yes it is lacking and needs a lot of work, but it is a start.

I found the Chap'll 2H shell (and a few others) and Joel has a PM.
The 2H shell has a white cockpit panel instead of the more common black. Anyone remember what brand this was typical of?
Several of the shells I had in this type were SPs, but I don't know if the 2H was one of them.

Rob several suppliers changed interior colour from time to time. Think it may have been just because of availability of sheets.

What you say makes sense, Phil.
I have half a dozen white early/mid-'70s driver-cockpit inserts (sports and s-seater) and eight or nine black, and the shapes/patterns are quite different between the two, but I'm not going to analyse the buckles or start a thread on the subject.
It was a long time ago in another country, as some literary character said on a weightier matter.

This lovely 1/32nd Chaparral 2H was built by Dennis Samson.

I believe that it is a John Dilworth BfB vacuum-formed body.

I guess this is what John Dilworth has already done with the 2H, as per Russell's photo.

I remember a 2H being available back in the day, probably from GT Models. It was VERY small, as I recall, and the Patto's one is similarly small (I have one - don't bother with it!)

John's version fits a 3" wheelbase by 2.5" wide frame very nicely.

I have Patto's 2H. I didn't realize it was under scale. I understood that his are recasts of vintage bodies and thought most if not all were true to scale..

So that brings up a question. Who made a high quality true to scale 1/32 2H vac? Or even a resin? As far as resin goes I heard that Top Slot made one but I have never seen one.

Joel, I did not mean to imply that the Patto's body is under scale - it is probably correct, as the full size car was short and narrow. John D's body has been "enhanced" to fit a more regular sized frame.

Andre - that's the same car that Russell posted, it's the one I built for my visit to NLSME last week, using the Dilworth body.
