So while we wait for Lee to build some more sections
to turn the Oval into a GT Track

He came up with a good idea

To make up a top for the oval so that we can layout a Sport track

So the space we will have is 24ft x 6 ft

It must have a pit lane and hopefully use a LeMans start that I have

Apart from that we currently have 7 XLC's 2 Racing Line Sections loads of CLC's in both directions so more Racing lines can be made and several pit lane section

The track MUST have borders all the way round as it will be run Non Mag ONLY

Also this track will be used for racing and all are experienced drivers so R1's are not an issue

So what I am asking is any ideas

Apologies for not including digital pieces but i think what you have will fit and the home straigh should fit a pit lane-
perhaps not what you are looking for but your dimensions rang a bell with me as I had been struggling to scale down a Suzuka type circuit recently but 24 x 6 was the smallest I could get it.

That's a nice idear laying out a real track

As you say should be able to fit in a pit lane somewhere there

Did you do that plan in UR3 ? If so any chance you could EMail it to me so I can see the track pieces ?

Ok had a measure and we actually have 24 ft x 5 ft

But will be able to squeeze that track in anyway

One question would you go for MAXIMUM Track Length or not ?

Or Lot's of track

Remember this is track for racing not so much a driving challenge

Also in some of the S bends will be racing lines I also used all R2's but this could be changed as we do have R3's and R4's avaliable

So an update on this

Lee has ordered the wood to make the top so hopefully if he gets a chance next week we can look at putting down a track

So if anyone has any suggestions please post them up

So taking some ideas into consideration I finaly borded over the oval and set up a sport track to run on.
jasperok made me think about building an actual racetrack into the space we have.
So i built a version of adelaides clipsal 500 and we ran some aussie v8s.
They were pretty tail happy as they had no magnets just slotit s1 silicones and a bit of weight up front.
So I have now put border barriers every where for the next time we run.
Thinking about the next circuit perhaps it could be symonds plains ?
