I look the Pitbox accessories, track looks and out of the box play ability of SCX. But what are the flaws?

Is it true that every time a car crosses the start line the track losses power for an instant?

What can be done to remedy this?

Are there any other flaws?

Any help would be great.

Would you recommend running scx lane changing system with a scalextric setup? Are they interchangeable?

I know QC is a big concern and the fact there is no local dealer is troubling because everything will have to go thru the mail.
