I went into Marks and Spencers at Hedgend today (nr Southampton) and they had 1/32nd kits of a BMW Mini and a GT40 with their own M&S branded boxes... The pics on both looked remarkably similar to the Scalextric models though... I noticed they were made in China too, but at £9.00 each (albeit with 3 pots of paint and a brush) they seemed a bit steep so i decided to give them a miss.

Thye did the same last year - they are the Hornby (Scalextric) kits.

I have checked on the Scalextric website. The Ford GT40 Gulf comes in two versions. Ref: K2007 with paint £7.99. Ref: K2007A without paint £6.99. The BMW Mini Cooper kit is similar in versions and price Ref: K2011 with paint £7.99 and Ref: K2011A without paint £6.99. Makes the M&S version look expensive?
