With the sad demise of Concord racers at Slot-Tech Raceway Preston have decided to try to break the scale sound barrier fastest lap so far is held by my own "BLACK HOLE 2" Zackspeed Capri with a time of 3.825 secs for the 100ft lap which equates to a 1/32 scale speed of around 590 mph .
CAN YOU BEAT THIS? The challenge starts Thurs 27/11/03
No silly rules
2 magnet points
Motors free choice (no straps or cobalts to Keep cost down}
Every thing else free choice
Cars will be run individualy 2 min sprints

I can't believe this! No takers? What a shandy drinking lot you are

Is it the fact that you might be worried about writing the car off if it flies off the track (any marshalls will be instructed to NOT catch the projectile!! then again this sort of event doesn't really need marshalls)?
Looks aren't everything, but matt black paint schemes go down well

I'll be there just as soon as I can get hold of a suitable donor vehicle, my big armatured Arrows F1 may be somewhat fragile and it probably won't have enough space for the big magnet.

Do you know why Graham called his Zakspeed "Black Hole"? We reckon it generates its own gravitational field which is so strong that not even light itself can escape, hence the matt black finish! Also the car seems to have the uncanny ability to compress time and space into small manageable amounts

Speed is life, anything else is just a toy! Come on down to Slot Tech raceway and have a laugh.

This is what is currently leading the challenge for the Mach1 sprint Goose
very simple tech a super 16d and a few magnets so far nothing has come close but its early days yet and I still have a few tricks waiting in the wings

Not quite sure what Inte means when he implys the word super charger maybe just more grunt in the form of a quicker motor but its not just as simple as who gets the most magnets and the biggest motor is it MICK.

Balance between grip,power and handling ,magnet racing isnt as simple as it seems
