Postman Plod arrived today with a parcel I had no knowledge of...
When I opened it & saw what was inside my a**e nearly dropped out!
It is the best slot car I have ever seen.

MAF (Marlon) has sent me this beautiful handbuilt Peugeot 203 free of charge for my Jouef layout.

Quite simply, the car is a work of art.
The paint job & detailing on this 1/43 car are better than what you would find on even the finest 1/32 RTR cars. I just wish I had a better camera to do the car full justice.
The chassis is brass which gives the car beautiful poise when it`s in motion.
The motor is lovely & smooth & gives a scale speed performance on par with later Jouef models.

I can`t imagine how much work Marlon has put into this car, but I really appreciate the gift & it is a model I will treasure.
I do hope Marlon starts selling these cars commercially,I`m sure that there`d be a lot of demand for them.

Oui !
Although only if I didn't already have a room full of 1:32 track and cars.
I don't ever recall seeing Jouef/Playcraft/Champion in model shops - I guess they were (unfortunately) marketed as toys rather than a hobby.

Thanks JH, the kit is very good and has great detail, the body is all one piece with the exception of the grille so goes together very easily. The only details I added were the bare metail foil for the chrome work and resin inserts for the wheels. I picked this kit up on ebay for £4!
